Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Dan Wilson shows scheduled for November 3 & 4, 2023 at the Woman's Club of Minneapolis, need to be postponed. The rescheduled date for the Friday, Nov. 3 show will be Friday, February 2, 2024, and the rescheduled date for the Saturday, Nov. 4 show will be Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024. 

All tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored on the respective new date - please hold onto them. Ticket holders who are unable to attend the new date can seek a refund at etix.com until November 10th.

Sue McLean & Associates and The Woman's Club of Minneapolis present The Music & Storyteller Sessions, offering fans a rich live event experience with some of today’s most prolific voices in music and literature. Audiences will have the unique opportunity to hear the inside stories and inspiring events that have shaped the creative journeys of some of their favorite established and emerging artists. There is an opportunity for fans to submit their own questions in advance of the show, with a selection to be answered during the performance.

Words & Music by Dan Wilson is an evening of songs and stories that pulls back the curtain on the art and practice of songwriting. Between stripped-down renditions of some of the modern-day classics he has written on his own and with such collaborators as Adele, Taylor Swift, the Chicks, Chris Stapleton and Carole King, Grammy winning singer- songwriter and producer Dan Wilson shares his insights into songwriting and relates the moments of discovery that led to them. His double life as a musician and visual artist has attuned him to the deeper questions of the creative process, one of the reasons he has become such a sought-after collaborator.

About Dan Wilson:

Dan Wilson is a singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and visual artist.

His songwriting resume includes “Closing Time”, which he wrote for his band, Semisonic, “Not Ready to Make Nice” (co-written with the Dixie Chicks) and “Someone like You” (co-written with Adele). He earned a Grammy nomination for “Closing Time” (Best Rock Song) and won Grammys for Song of the Year (“Not Ready to Make Nice” in 2007) and Album of the Year (which he won in 2012 as one of the producers of Adele’s 21).

In addition to being the leader of Semisonic, Wilson has released several solo recordings, including the 2017 release Re-Covered which also includes a 54-page book of illustrations, session anecdotes and observations about songwriting.
