Pooja Vaidyanathan is a leading playback singer who has worked with eminent music directors like AR Rahman, Illayaraja, D.Imman, GV Prakash, Yuvan Shankar Raja. Her debut in the industry was with AR Rahman for the song Tumtak in the Bollywood movie, Raanjhana. Songs like Alaporan Tamizhan from Mersal, Paakadey Paakadey from Varutha Padatha Vaalibar Sangam, Eppa Mama treat from Jilla are some of her other well known hits. She has also released several private music albums.
Harini Santhanam, a Bharathanrityam dancer/choreographer/teacher, hails from a parampara established by Dr.Padma Subrahmanyam. Harini's mother & Guru.Late.Smt.Sundari Santhanam was Dr.Padma's senior most disciple & this lineage is what sets her apart in her performances & productions. Having been in the dance field for 35+ years, Harini has several performances, workshops, lecture demonstrations, arangetrams & was instrumental in releasing a book by her mother on Desi Karanas, She runs a dance school in India & in Atlanta following the pedagogy laid down by Dr.Padma & is currently focused on spreading the Marga and Desi tradition as revived & reconstructed by her Gurus. Amol Khanarpurkar, originally from Mumbai, learnt from Pandit Sadashiv Pawar & has been in the field for over 25 years. He had the privilege to perform with luminaries such as Padmavibhushan Pt.Hariprasad Chaurasia, Padmabhushan Ustad Halim Jaffer Khan, Padmashree Pandita Prabha Atre, Vidhushi Smt.Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar. A music composer & director, he has several performances around the globe, for various music labels & productions for India's National telelvision channel. He takes pride in being among the few artists who have performed in the presence of 2 Indian Prime Ministers with a personal invitation to perform at one event by Mahatmi Gandhi's grandson, Shri Rajmohan Gandhi. A Sangeet Visharad & recipient of Sangeet Bhushan award, Amol is currently in the United States, running Jaytaal Academy of music in Atlanta apart from being a full time professional at one of the Fortune 500 companies.
Vindali & Tanuja are formally trained Kathak dancers in the Jairpur Gharana style & are currently expanding their vocabulary under internationally acclaimed Kathak & Lavani expert, actress/performer/ choreographer, Adithi Bhagwat (www.aditibhagwat.com). Both Vindali & Tanuja have choreographed dance shows & given several performances in the US highlight being their 90 min production "Madhuban" portraying the 4 different women associated with Krishna & their faith in him. Besides Kathak, both have busy professional & family lives. Ben Vance is a percussionist & multi-instrumentalist from Macon, GA. He began playing drums at age 9. Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Georgia College & State University in 2009. He is a tabla student of Amol Khanapurkar & currently performs with several local bands in middle Georgia & Athens.
