Something Simple is a crossbreed of modern experimental and vintage new wave indie music, tastefully paired with original visual art and film. The project came about when university friends Sam Feldman and Max Berger began to create music and videos together in their modest home studio. The duo makes use of multiple mediums to express their work other than purely through a sonic outlet.
Producer, songwriter, and musician Zach Benson (Richmond, VA) is no stranger to crafting indie pop perfection. After recording his debut EP Pretty in his college apartment, Zach became a force in the independent pop scene with his high-energy synth-pop sound, sweet & confessional lyricism, and unapologetically queer personality. Since 2017, Zach has amassed 1.75 million streams between Spotify and Apple Music, 22k+ social media followers across platforms, and countless live performances including two east coast tours. He's also become a go-to producer for indie pop artists in the LGBTQ+ community, including Peter Jessy, Jackfruit, Cory Stewart, and more. Zach hopes to inspire audiences of all identities to live authentically and love unconditionally. His debut album hopeless, romantic. is now available on all platforms For fans of Troye Sivan, The 1975, MUNA, Lorde, Conan Gray.
Exits is a singer-songwriter from Washington, DC. Spending his teenage years performing in coffee shops and bars in Northern Virginia, Exits honed his heartfelt, honest, and confessional style. Exits spent the summer of 2015 in New York City recording his first EP. The track 'Ruin Me' took off on SoundCloud, creating a dedicated local following. Exits partnered with LA-based, Grammy-nominated producer Dru DeCaro to create his first full length project, Loner, which released in spring of 2020.
