The breadth of Natalie Cole's musical influences was broad. Though early on she began listening to Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin, she would eventually immerse herself in the great American songbook; following in the steps of her father, the great Nat King Cole. Recent Charlotte newcomer and rising vocal sensation, Tyra Scott, will grace the stage honoring Natalie Cole and her musical legacy. Scott will be accompanied by the Sean Higgins Trio.
Tyra Scott, a dynamic vocalist, continues to gain attention for her superb musicianship and genre-blending style.
