Sleigher Krampus

Christmas carol rock and roll mashup performed by hairy goat-like creatures.

SLEIGHER is a Krampus themed costumed band made up of veteran musicians singing the words of holiday carols over the music of hard rock favorites. The band has received wide media coverage and typically has played to crowds in the thousands since its inception. The hairy goat-men kicked off their last live set with Van Halen’s “Panama” mashed up with the holiday fave “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and ended with the words from “We Wish You a Merry Christmas: sung to the music of “Rock and Roll All Nite” by Kiss.

Who is Krampus?

In German-speaking Alpine folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure. According to traditional narratives around the figure, Krampus punishes children during the Christmas season who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards well-behaved ones with gifts.
