Maestro Spieth has programmed a multi-century leap of works. World premiere of Harber Songs (text: Carl Sandburg) by 2017 Moravian grad Patrick Oswald, features Moravian grad ('96) and current vocal faculty member, Tanya O'Brien. Dr. Carl Hess, Director of Instrumental Music at Moravian, is the trumpet soloist for Arutiunian's Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra. Also included this evening are Berlioz' Roman Carnival Overture, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor. A reception follows the concert.
