The film program “Say It Loud: Cinema in the Age of Black Power, 1966–1981” ran at Brooklyn’s BAMcinématek from August 17–30, 2018, and was curated by Ashley Clark. The program was a companion to the successful Soul of a Nation exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, and showcased a sampling of powerful cinematic selections representing various ideas of African American liberation. The films in this program are drawn from the original series.
