Punch needle is this year’s fiber arts trend that is quickly become our go-to craft for turning graphics into gorgeous yarn art. Existing somewhere between rug hooking and embroidery, punch needle involves punching a needle through fabric in a repetitive motion to create amazing designs with loops of yarn. It’s a fun and relaxing craft that can be turned into wall art, cushions, pillows, rugs, purses... just about anything made with a textile! And with a great set of tools, even first timers can walk away with a beautiful piece. In this class, you will complete a punch needle project from start to finish, including material selection, frame set-up, working with stencils to create your own design, punch needle techniques, and options for finishing your piece!
Supplies Needed: None. As part of this class, each student will receive a full punch needle kit that includes one handmade 11x11 frame, monks cloth, yarn, a fun design pack, and an Oxford Punch Needle (the best out there...these are $35 retail) to take home.
