Bridging Our Divide Presents:
A Common Ground Debate on Identity Politics
Doors 6PM | Show 7PM
1624 NW Glisan PDX
THURSDAY May 24th, 2018
This event will feature Bret Weinstein, Heather Heying, Robin Johnson, and Michael Parkhurst in a conversation on identity politics.
Common Ground Debates are an opportunity to explore important issues of our day with a focus on understanding common ground and finding solutions. Beyond the shouting match of social media, conversations on nuanced societal topics are often limited to ideological camps and geared for an analogous audience, which does little to bring us together into a broader understanding. As a country, we need to work together to improve communication between people with different ideologies and different visions of America, because our core values and needs overlap more than they differ. Bridging Our Divide and Common Ground Debates are meant to highlight our common humanity and help us move forward with more understanding and respect.
