A feast of American music introducing the remarkable talent, Candice Hoyes. Singing the music of iconic composer Samuel Barber, Hoyes easily crosses the media of classical, jazz, and pop sounds. Rounding out the program will be the ultimate American symphony, Aaron Copland’s Third Symphony. You will hear the derivation of Copland’s audience favorite, The Fanfare for the Common Man, which is the main thematic material of the last movement.
