CANCELLED: Kailash Kher Meets Berklee

Kailash Kher is a renowned Indian artist, famous for his unique and powerful voice and style. Influenced by Indian folk and Sufi music, he is a prominent singer in several languages. He also is well-known for his work in the film industry—he has performed more than 700 songs in movies and is a two-time winner of the Filmfare Award for best male playback singer. Kher and his band Kailasa have received great acclaim.

“Kher’s voice has something that had been lacking [in the industry]—pure soul!” remarked A. R. Rahman after first working with him.

Kher will perform with the Berklee Indian Ensemble, bringing magic to the stage with a spirited and uplifting performance. The Berklee Indian Ensemble is world-renowned through live performances in India and Boston, as well as its YouTube videos, which have received more than 80 million views.

This concert is produced by Clint Valladares, Annette Philip, Rohith Jayaraman, and Lydia Renold, the team of Berklee India Exchange.
