Running Time: 2 hours
The Cary Players season kicks off in September with Twelve Angry Jurors, a classic drama about what it means to pass judgment on your fellow peers in a democracy.
Originally released in 1957 as the film Twelve Angry Men, this update allows for a large cast of all ages and genders.
Directed by local theatrical veteran Yvonne Anderson, the show takes place on a hot summer day after a long trial, where a jury must unanimously decide the fate of a 19-year-old man accused of murdering his father.
With a single holdout, tempers flare as the eleven jurors try their best to convince the lone dissenter to come around to their side.
As the evidence is re-examined, however, jurors must face their own life experiences and perspectives in their search for the truth and whether there is, in fact, some measure of "reasonable doubt."
Performances run September 27 through October 6 at the Cary Arts Center.
Will call tickets can be picked up at the Cary Arts Center box office starting one hour before the show.
For assistance with accessible seating requests at the Cary Arts Center after 3pm on Friday and throughout the weekend, please contact the general box office at 919-462-2055 or the Cary Arts Center 919-469-4069, and/or reach out to the House Manager beginning one hour prior to the performance.
