Launched in August of 2020, Tuesday Casual Collaborations at 185 King Street has become a cornerstone of the vibrant Brevard music community. Every week Travis Book assembles a unique group of musicians for a one-time-only show, drawing on his vast network of friends and growing repertoire of musical styles. From Bluegrass to Blues, Songwriter to Americana, Country to Funk, Travis and his ever-evolving cast of local and national (even international) musicians consistently hit the sweet spot between preparation and spontaneity. “Eventually, I hope to play with everyone!” he occasionally boasts, and he’s well on his way. Travis has hosted a wide range of musicians, including: Anders Beck, Nicki Bluhm, Josh Daniel, Beppe Gambetta, Mike Guggino, Vince Herman, Sierra Hull, Cris Jacobs, Jim Lauderdale, Lindsay Lou, Steve McMurry, Mimi Naja, Tim O’Brien, Woody Platt, Jon Stickley, Kyle Tuttle, and Cristina Vane. He also regularly employs the skills of world-class local musicians like Jeff Sipe, Mike Ashworth, Tommy Maher, Bennett Sullivan, and Derick Gardner. Every week is unique, the musical styles wide-ranging, but the one thing that remains constant is the intention, positivity, and charisma that Travis brings to each and every show.

Travis is on tour throughout January so he is handing his hosting duties off to some trusted friends. This evening's show will be hosted by Bennett Sullivan.

Bennett Sullivan's musical path has never been straight and narrow, but rather a winding track through the wilderness of space and time. Tracing his steps from peak to peak, a continuous pattern emerges; one of accepting challenges, taking big leaps, and ultimately rising to new heights, only to find another mountain and begin again.

In Greensboro, North Carolina, he was introduced to the native sounds of bluegrass music by his father, a guitarist, who first encouraged Bennett to learn banjo and then guitar. After taking an immediate interest in the instrument, Bennett's dreams were quickly quashed by a round of uninspiring music store banjo lessons with a chain- smoking teacher and a crummy beginner's banjo. He promptly quit the instrument altogether. After bringing home an autobiography written for a middle school project, his father saw that his son's biggest regret was quitting the banjo. "He went straight out and bought a nicer instrument, and I was hooked," says Bennett.

When purchasing a table you are purchasing the number of tickets that the tables seats. For example if you purchase a 4-top table you are purchasing 4 tickets

General admission tickets gain you access to the rear of the venue, behind the seated sections as well as the backyard. There are tables in both areas that are available on a first come, first served basis.
There is a garage door behind the stage that remains open in good weather so that you can enjoy the show from inside or outside.
