Zhao Lei broke through in 2014 when he performed on Song of China, a leading television competition program.
Writing, singing, and touring have been a part of Zhao’s life since he was a teenager. In 2012, he completed his first national live tour with his guitar and friends. In 30 days, they traveled by motorbike to more than 15 cities.
After the release of his second album, Jim Restaurant, Zhao had become a significant artist of Chinese urban folk music. After two massive national touring concerts, he released his third studio album, Unable to Grow Up, in late 2016.
