What started as a casual jam between four well seasoned musicians five years ago in the canyons of Marin quickly blossomed into a full blown bay area rock band called CANYON whose woodshed-birthed sound follows in the tradition of American folk and rock pioneers. From airy acoustic numbers to intense fuzz-driven jams, their organic soundscape pulsates with intensity and dynamics, and never loses respect for the simplicity and power of the song.

ABOUT NYTE SKYE
Nyles Lannon and his son Skye spent many nights during lockdown holed up in their home studio, channeling their anxieties into songs. They made a promise to complete a whole album, chronicling that time together. The result is a lively stew of atmospheric, moody and cathartic New Wave rock, articulated with Skye’s dynamic, Stewart Copeland-inspired drumming.
Fast forward three years, and the two have been joined by Oakland’s Nichole Kreglow (synth, guitar, vox) and bassist David Gould. The band has toured up and down the coast several times and released their debut album Nyte Skye Vanishing on LA’s Sonic Ritual label earlier this year, playing a packed house to celebrate at this year’s NoisePop Festival in San Francisco.
Nyles Lannon also plays in his shoegaze band Film School (which recently released Fields on Felte Records), and toured in the Bay Area band Rogue Wave in the past. His solo albums have earned numerous accolades over the years, including “One of the Best Albums of the Year” from the San Francisco Bay Guardian and “Best Folktronica Artist” from SF Weekly. He and his son live in San Rafael. Skye attends the Marin School of the Arts.
