Rising Middle & High School Students
Registration: $105
Many musicals have huge tap ensembles, others have 13 minute "dream ballets", and the hiphop in Matilda, Hamilton, and In the Heights can inspire all audiences! In this overview of four different dance styles, Students will get a sampling of Broadway Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hiphop. They will learn the orginins of each style and how these styles play into Muscal Theatre performance! On the final day of class, students will work on using steps and techniques they have learned to create their own piece, which will performed along with a piece in the four other styles introduced earlier in the week!
Last Day to Register:6/8/23
Classes meet for one week- Monday through Friday, June 12-16, 2023 at 1:00pm-2:30pm Classes will meet at Studio Wayne, just up the hill from the theatre.
Scholarships are available. Please contact Director of Education, Corey Holmes, at Education@waynetheatre.org for more information.
Multi Class/multi siblings discounts are also available. Please contact our Box Office at 540-943-9999 to register for more than one class or sibling at a time.
A fee of $6 will be added to registration at the time of purchase. ($3 for Historic Preservation of the Wayne and $3 for Ticket Handling) Thank you!
