In addition, the State Fair of Texas will announce the winners of 2019 Blue Ribbon Selection. The Fair's annual wine competition. The 12 wining wines will be featured daily in the State Fair Wine Garden during the run of the Fair.
Attendees to the Blue Ribbon Wine Tasting will have the opportunity to sample up to ten different Texas wines and participate in the following panel discussions.
Wine Makers Roundtable Featuring CEO and Head Winemaker of Messina Hof, Paul M. Bonarrigo, Randy Hester, Winemaker and Owner of C.L. Butaud and John Bratcher, Director of Sales of McPherson Cellers. These 2018 Blue Ribbon Selection winners will discuss the Texas wine industry and what on the horizon for wine making in Texas.
Texas Grapes Featuring Katy Jane Seaton, Executive Director of the High Plains Winegrowers Association and Justin Scheiner, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Viticulture Specialists, Texas A& M University. The panel will be moderated by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Grapes are one of the state's fastest growing agricultural products. Hear how Texas is perfect for growing grapes.
