World renowned guitar virtuoso, vocalist, and songwriter Gary Hoey
has crafted an incredible career releasing 22 albums in styles from Rock, Surf, Blues, Holiday, and Soundtracks.
Gary’s Retrospective Solo Show will be an intimate show, a man and his guitar with the actual backing tracks from the albums, a highenergy show featuring the Billboard hits “Low Rider,” “Hocus Pocus,” and songs that have made Hoey a house hold name in the guitar world. “Mass Hysteria,” “Drive,” “Peace Pipe”... this is an electric show! Gary will also be mixing in stories and Q&A for a more intimate show and insight into Hoey’s long career.
Hoey moved to Los Angeles in 1987 after an audition with Ozzy Osbourne inspired the Boston native to move out West. In 1993 he launched his career with a Top 5 hit cover of “Hocus Pocus” by Focus for Warner Bros. His popular Ho! Ho! Hoey series of Christmas songs have become a tradition at hundreds of rock radio stations. He has toured with guitar legends, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent, Brian May, and Joe Satriani. His latest album “Neon Highway Blues” on Provogue/Mascot Label, is an exuberant fusion of Blues and Rock.“It’s great to hear Gary sing and play the blues with his trademark intensity, feel and authenticity. And the guitar tones…both vintage and modern at the same time.”
- Joe Satriani
With a collection of 22 albums, it’s no wonder Gary Hoey
is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time.
** Please be advised: For a more intimate show, Gary Hoey on March 12th may be relocated to Upstairs at Kaycee Ray's for our new venue's debut show.
