Join Triple Threat Dance for their 18th Annual Benefit Performance! This year, proceeds go to greeNest's Up Off the Floor Program.
About greeNest and
greeNest is a unique local program that, for a small fee, provides household furnishings to individuals and families transitioning from shelters or homelessness to sustainable housing. Volunteers sort, clean, and organize furniture and household goods that have been donated by the community and then stage a “showroom” from which participants can make selections. Participants, accompanied by caseworkers from various partner agencies, choose donated items that best suit their needs. greeNest strives to provide a vital link in the journey from homelessness to independent living by partnering with agencies who have case management programs.
Up Off the Floor is a greeNest program that provides new beds for children in Forsyth County between the ages of 3-18 years. Referrals of families in need are made by Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools, Head Start, or Project Hope. Case managers at these programs identify students who are sleeping on the floor or do not have a safe sleeping space. As funding allows, greeNest supplies new twin beds, pillows, and bedding at no cost to the family.
As of January 13, Guilford County has reinstated a mask mandate. Masks are required while in the building.
