Rod Abernethy's latest album "The Man I'm Supposed To Be" reached No.9 on Folk Alliance International's Folk DJ chart in June 2018. An authentic southern folk troubadour, storyteller and guitarist, Rod performs songs and guitar instrumentals that revolve around family, friends and places across his home state of North Carolina and the Deep South.
Doug Baker has been involved in the musical community in Greensboro since the early 1980's. He received a Bachelor's degree in Music Theory from UNCG and more recently returned there to earn his Music Education credentials, receiving his K-12 teaching license in 2011.
In addition to teaching guitar at the Music Loft, he also teaches General Music classes at Easton Elementary School in Winston-Salem, NC. As a performer, he has recently played guitar and mandolin with The Zinc Kings, a string band that performs traditional music of the North Carolina Piedmont. He also participates in monthly improvisational performances during First Fridays and does extensive theatre work throughout the state.
