University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra presents the 2017-18 season Opening Night: Beethoven 5 in the SCFA Concert Hall.

Join the UKSO for the opening concert of its 99th season, as they play the most famous piece of music ever written, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Brahms’ “Academic Festival Overture” will serve as a rousing opener, and they will also be playing Charles Ives’ American masterpiece “Three Places in New England.” John Nardolillo conducts, along with new Assistant Conductor, Sey Ahn, who will lead the orchestra in Three Hungarian Dances by Brahms, and will serve as the second conductor in the Ives.
