Giant Slide

The Giant Slide has been an iconic Iowa State Fair attraction, delighting generations of Fairgoers. Each ride begins with a 71 step climb, leading to breathtaking views and the anticipation of the thrilling ride ahead. Towering 50 feet high and stretching 170 feet in length, this vibrant green and yellow super slide promises fun for all ages.

For just $3 per ride, it’s a must-do tradition. Purchasing in advance allows you to skip the ticket booth line during the Fair and go straight to the slide line. Each ticket is good for one trip down the slide, for one person (all ages need a ticket), any day of the Fair, August 7-17, 2025.

**Slide tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. They are good for all 11 days of the Fair. By purchasing in advance, you are aware that for your safety, there may be times when the slide has to close due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Closing the slide is usually temporary and we will open it up as soon as it is safe to ride again.
