Based on documentary interviews, court recordings and personal journals of real-life events, this challenging and captivating piece of contemporary theatre deals with the aftermath of a shocking hate crime in a quiet Wyoming community, revealing the lowest depths of hatred and the greatest heights of compassion that lies within all human beings in any seemingly average community. A play for mature audiences, the play is a theatrical portrait of one of the most infamous hate crimes in recent US history, the murder of Matthew Shepard.
