This original 90-minute virtual play is a collection of stories from a diverse cast of high school students. These stories explore what it means to be human, an American, and an equal citizen in a country where freedom is promised to all people under the U.S. Constitution. In this devised performance piece, we struggle with topics of racism, sexism, and xenophobia in a time in our country where being different from your neighbor is not always celebrated. We endeavor to make this play a teaching platform where it is hard to argue with someone’s truth – while challenging our audiences to embrace acceptance over tolerance, and love over hate.
Each registrant will receive a link to the private YouTube video for this performance to be sent at December 11, 2020 – at 8 am.
