Join the Library of Congress Veterans History Project for a live performance of WAR WORDS, a performance drawn from the funny, strange, heroic, and heartbreaking stories of those we sent to Iraq and Afghanistan, those we brought home, and those we left behind. Based on the playwright’s interviews with veterans of the 20-year war and their families, WAR WORDS aims to create a bridge between those who serve and the great majority of us who thank them for their service without truly understanding what that means.
WAR WORDS was developed with the support of The Atlantic Council. WAR WORDS was further developed and originally presented by NewYorkRep and Founding Executive Director, Gayle Waxenberg and co-sponsored by the New Light Theater Project and Pendragon Theatre.
Accessible seating is available upon request. Please request ADA accommodations at least five days in advance by contacting 202-707-6362 or ada@loc.gov.
