Billed as “The Band America Loves,” the original McIntyre Orchestra debuted in New Rochelle, NY in 1941, and headlined such venues as New York’s Commodore Hotel, Hollywood’s Palladium Ballroom and Chicago’s Sherman Hotel. McIntyre continued leading the group well into the 1950s. Now, this world famous orchestra is directed by long time drummer Don Pentleton, and is one of the hottest big band attractions in the business!
The band tours New England and the U.S. playing all the beloved swing and big band tunes of the 1930s and 1940s including Take the A Train, Let's Fall in Love, Begin the Beguine, and Sentimental Journey, which was McIntyre's first million-seller recording.
