Originally from the Ivory Coast but raised my whole life in Baltimore coming up as an artist has never been an easy task to do. With so many distractions surrounding me from the streets to being a father and making sure I succeed in life music literally became my way of escaping reality. It all started with a camera and a vision , I always had a passion for photography which later on turned into videography .shooting music videos for numerous artist really became something I loved to.

Joann was born in Maryland on May 14th, 1999. She grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia where she began singing at a young age and later on rapping. Although she always had a love and passion for music, she didn’t take music seriously until the age of 19. She began getting in the studio and working with various artists from all around the DMV, Florida, Atlanta, California, London, Ghana, and many other areas. Joann, who takes inspiration from R&B, soul, hip-hop, gospel, rap, and Afrobeats, says one of her biggest inspirations is Beyoncé. Growing up watching Beyoncé sing, dance, and perform pushed her to be creative, confident, and unpredictable. Joann is passionate about putting Virginia on the map because “the world doesn’t hear much about VA and creatives don’t make it from here despite their hard work and talent” she says. She is determined to change the narrative and make it happen.
