My Favorite Things with Shana Tucker and The Christian Tamburr Trio

Join renowned vocalist and cellist Shana Tucker as she brings her unique genre of “ChamberSoul” to some of your favorite holiday standards. Shana is joined by award winning jazz pianist and arranger Christian Tamburr and his trio. With headline performances at the Apollo Theater to Lincoln Center, the artistry and musical  collaboration shared upon the stage amongst these artists is one not to miss.

Shana Tucker should be familiar to long-time patrons of the Davis Theatre. She first performed her unique flavor of “ChamberSoul” for us back in 2015. We had the chance to see Shana and Christian perform together at ArtsMarket 2023 and were blown away. She is an electrifying performer, both as a vocalist and cellist. In addition we are super impressed by her work in arts education and advocacy. She’s an NC treasure and we’re lucky to have her. The icing on the cake for this show is the chemistry she has with the incredible Christian Tamburr. Musicians among you have likely had the experience of watching a show and being immediately drawn to the way someone plays, not because they are flashy and virtuosic but because every note and every phrase is perfectly suited to the situation. Christian Tamburr is one of the finest musicians I’ve had the chance to experience live, and surrounds himself with equally talented folks. Hearing them reinterpret holiday classics is going to be a real treat, and you won’t want to miss it!
