TICKETS NOW ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE KOVALCHICK COMPLEX BOX OFFICEAfter a hiatus last year, Renda Broadcasting of Indiana is pleased to announce a special show set for Saturday, December 16th at 7:30 PM at Toretti Auditorium at the Kovalchick Complex benefiting the 38th Teddy Bear Fund Drive with proceeds funding child health care at Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Pediatrics Department and Children’s Hospital. This unique concert event will feature well-known regional recording artist Jeff Jimerson and his popular band Airborne along with special guest guitarist Ricky Witkowski, who like Jeff, performed several years at the Kovalchick Com-plex as part of the popular B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert. As many of you know, last year B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert fans everywhere were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our friend B.E. Taylor, a man who brought us a gift so special, an Indiana County holiday tradition that fans from all over the region came to see each and every year, not only here but everywhere his tour took him. B.E. sadly passed away last August from a brain tumor that he lived with for almost 10 years. You’d never know he was sick and throughout this 10-year period he continued to perform and live his life and in four years he helped Renda to build a holiday tradition helping to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. There was an emptiness last December, and not having the show last year was a void for so many.Jeff Jimerson is regarded by many as one of the finest vocalists Pittsburgh has ever produced. Jeff sur-rounds himself with an extremely talented group of musicians and vocalists that help make Airborne a com-plete package. In addition to his band Airborne, his singing with the B.E. Taylor Christmas Tour, and appear-ances on American Idol, Jimerson is well known as the National Anthem Singer at Pittsburgh Penguins games, a role he has enjoyed since 1991.“With a goal of building up a new show moving forward, we are pleased to present 2017 Rockin’ the Stockin’ with Jeff Jimerson and Airborne,” said Mark Bertig, V.P. of Renda Broadcasting and Chairman of the 38th Teddy Bear Fund Drive. “I have seen Jeff’s band through the years, most recently in July and they are just fabulous. He will be performing a nice mix of classic hits with a heavy dose of holiday favorites, many of which he performed with B.E. Taylor. And to have Ricky Witkowski who was such a hit with B.E. as a part of it, that will add to the magic. We are very appreciative that Jeff, Ricky, keyboard player Herb Schweitzer, all who played here at the KCAC are coming up to do this show and we know fans will love it, and to have it benefit the Teddy Bear Fund Drive makes it all the better.”Experience Jeff Jimerson & Airborne Rockin’ The Stockin’ for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive presented by S&T Bank and tickets are now on sale. The concert is also sponsored by Colonial Motor Mart and Colonial Toyota, the Reschini Group, and Diamond Pharmacy and Medical Supply.
