Come Together - A Trip Down Abbey Road
For the fourth consecutive year, a spectacular group of Philadelphia's finest musicians is ready to weave the timeless magic of The Beatles into the heart of the City of Brotherly Love! This year, the ensemble embarks on a musical journey, bringing the iconic "Abbey Road" album to life in its entirety, and as a bonus, they'll present an extra set filled with more beloved Beatles classics. Get ready to be enthralled by the harmonious melodies and captivating arrangements that have defined generations. Front and center is the remarkable Andrew Lipke, a multi-instrumentalist and composer born in South Africa, known for his electrifying guitar skills and soaring vocals. Lipke has made his mark across diverse musical styles and has graced stages nationwide, leaving his mark notably with luminaries like Amos Lee and as a part of the Led Zeppelin tribute, Get the Led Out. Adding her bluesy, soulful touch to the production is singer-songwriter Essie Riddle. Hailing from West Virginia and with a background in opera from Westminster Choir College, Essie effortlessly infuses classics like "Oh Darlin'" with her uniquely emotive vocals. Her ability to bridge classical training with rock and blues elements adds a dynamic layer to the performance. The ensemble wouldn't be complete without the talents of bassist/vocalist Andrew Napoli, drummer Rob Tait, keyboardist/vocalist Grace Quakenboss, and guitarist Rory Geoghegan, all of whom contribute their extraordinary musicianship to the stage. The mastermind behind this unforgettable tribute, Andrew Napoli, a true "Beatle-freak," responded with a resounding "Yes" when the idea of honoring the 50th Anniversary of "Abbey Road" arose in 2019. The inspiration came after successful renditions of other cherished albums including "The Beatles" ("White Album"), "Rubber Soul," "Revolver," and a grand homage to "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" in 2017. "Come Together: A Trip Down Abbey Road" promises an evening of captivating musical enchantment as the immortal "Abbey Road" album is performed live and suitable for all ages. The universal message of love woven by The Beatles resonates through every note of "Abbey Road," and this production will leave you uplifted, reminding us all that even the saddest songs can be made better through the power of music. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the legacy of The Beatles and experience the magic of "Come Together: A Trip Down Abbey Road."
