The shows begin March 25 with replay nightly at 7 p.m. until the next show. This will give all audiences the opportunity to view at Blue Ridge PBS's Youtube site, Blue Ridge Streaming.
Dr Pepper Park at the Bridges is proud to announce that they are putting on a fundraiser to bring live music back to the Star City during this time of uncertainty. Dr Pepper Park will be partnering with Blue Ridge PBS to put together eight (8) audience free performances to benefit the downtown Roanoke businesses and their employees who have been affected by COVID 19.
Each concert will premiere in the middle of the week, beginning March 25th and replay nightly at 7pm until the next premiere, allowing every person in the valley to tune in. Viewers will be able to watch via Blue Ridge PBS's YouTube streaming site, Blue Ridge Streaming. Each concert will be free to the public, but viewers will be encouraged to donate directly to the fundraiser, "Rock to the Rescue" on the Dr Pepper Park website. Seventy-five percent of funds raised during each concert will be donated to downtown businesses, while 25% will be retained to cover performance and marketing costs.
"We are thrilled that anyone in the world can access Blue Ridge PBS's YouTube streaming site, Blue Ridge Streaming. The opportunity to partner with this type of programming is very exciting because it will gain exposure for our city, the amazing bands that will be performing and also highlight our local businesses in Downtown Roanoke." Waynette Anderson stated.
Join Dr Pepper Park and their cause by tuning into the Rock to the Rescue Fundraiser! If you can, donate to help downtown Roanoke businesses and the employees that have been affected by COVID 19!
