Philly-based Dark Thoughts are one of the few pop-punk bands it’s OK for hardcore folks to like.
Formed in 2016 by four friends with minimal experience as musicians, Bacchae make music with no assumptions about what a punk band should sound like. Underneath a careful balance of attitude and ambivalence, the quartet embraces heavy guitar riffs alongside bouncy pop melodies and rage-filled exclamations.
Since their start in 2014, power pop group Teenage Halloween have nurtured DIY roots in the New Jersey punk scene. Their songs pack punk, pop, and emo styles as well as themes of gender euphoria, mental illness, and existential experience. Their 2020 debut self-titled album “Teenage Halloween” was released by NJ based label Don Giovanni and made it onto multiple end of the year accolades.
Forming around Washington DC in 2012, Boardroom Heroes write honest, straightforward songs about relationships, memories, change, and stagnation. Boardroom Heroes are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their sophomore album “Another Year”, maybe they'll play the full album (or at least more songs from the album than usual).
From the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington DC – the band incorporates melodic bass, driving guitars and visceral vocal stylings. The band hit the ground running in 2019 with anthemic, progressive songs capturing the struggles of modern life in Trump/post-Trump-era America. Their forthcoming full-length Patience In Presence will be released by A-F Records in the U.S. and Shield in Europe in late 2022.
