Shirtless and tattooed, the Ginger Billy gives viewers a humorous look into life in rural Upstate South Carolina. And he’s doing it all on his own. Ginger Billy will be live, on stage at the Dothan Opera House on Friday, January 28th at 7:00 pm. Ginger Billy began his comedy career just telling life like it is and developed a following with short videos. Quoted as saying, “Well, when he retired, (referring to Dale Earnhardt Jr.), I thought to myself, ‘man, you know what? This would be something that, uh, all rednecks would love if I talked about,’” he said. “When I saw how many views it got, I thought to myself, you know what, this might be actually pretty cool. This might be something I want to try again.” His videos can be found on many social media channels and he estimates he has received between 40 and 50 million views on the various topics he talks about - ranging from men's rompers to hot summer days to marriage and many other varied topics. Having toured with other comedians such as Catfish Cooley, we are glad to welcome Ginger Billy to the Historic Dothan Opera House and have him appear on our stage. Also scheduled to appear will be comedian Brandon Rainwater.
