The Early Music Ensembles of Moravian College pay tribute to the 500 th anniversary of Martin Luther’s protestant revolution with a program entitled “Luther and his Legacy.” The program includes several settings of Luther’s signature hymn “Ein Feste Burg ist unser Gott,” (“A Mighty Fortress is our God”) along with sacred and secular works by Luther’s contemporaries and later Protestant composers, such as Schütz, Telemann, and Bach. The Monteverdi Ensemble, a one-on- a-part vocal quintet, will be joined by the Baroque Ensemble (flute, cello, harpsichord, and organ) and the Krummhorn Quartet.
