Garry, an aging actor, still lives life like a young, reckless star of the stage. The plot follows a few days in the life of this self-obsessed egotist. He finds himself in a difficult situation when a young dalliance returns to audition for him, a young crazed playwright insists he read his play, and his ex-wife is left to clean up the mess. This comedy bordering on farce, was written by Coward in 1930 and just enjoyed a Broadway revival. The script was described by Coward as "a series of semi-autobiographical pyrotechnics."
