Trash Tape Records' groups Rain Recordings and Hill View #73 finish up their tour in the label's hometown for a night of supersonic fun with support from local art rockers Nonsense.

Hill View #73 is the recording project of Bangladesh-born but Atlanta-based songwriter Awsaf Halim. Birthed out of the 9733 bedroom pop scene, Halim blends intricate electronica--busy synth work and detailed video game sound font drum loops--with bubblegummy, melodic indie pop songwriting, showing aspirations of making eternal indie anthems from their bedroom desk. Their newest record Night Time is the Grace Period released in March and can be listened to with this here

Rain Recordings are a cross-continental recording project split between Stockholm-based songwriter Josef Löfvendahl and North Carolina-based multi-instrumentalist Evren Centeno. The duo met and harnessed a home-recorded indie folk/chamber pop sound during the pandemic years but just released their first in-person studio collaboration Terns in Idle, a bombastic twist on the rash indie rock of the early 00s, in April. You can listen to it here.

Nonsense is a collaborative effort consisting of Holland Lagarde (Guitar / Effects) and Jasper Ewing (Synths, Drums, Vocals, Sax). Lagarde's unique chord structures informed by fellow genre-defying acts such as Gastr Del Sol and Deerhoof blend with Ewing's electronic music sensibilities with jolting percussion and blissful pads and intersecting with intricate guitar work. The range of their sound knows no bounds, from three part songs switching genres on the fly (Franken / Furter / Stein), guest laden epics (Ronkonkoma), contemplative and emotional to guitar-infused DnB (Mini Bull) and even standard indie rock numbers (Quinterlude). They are not to be trusted around instruments.
