Dan May is a rare breed of singer songwriter that has made the successful transition from classical to popular music. After a 12 year career that saw him singing roles with opera companies across the US and Canada, he began writing and performing his own songs in 2005. It's resulted in six critically acclaimed albums, including 'Dying Breed,' which made a Philadelphia Inquirer’s list of Top Ten Albums. Dan's warm baritone lends itself engagingly well to his folk pop songs with rootsy embellishments that “brim with hooks and heart as well as intelligence and grace.” His live show has been embraced by live audiences from coast to coast, as his following online continues to grow. Celebrate the holiday weekend with a hometown favorite!
A long standing member of the Philadelphia music scene, Lizanne Knott has also managed to make herself a home in Nashville as well as the UK. She has been captivating audiences throughout the US and UK, garnering accolades from listeners and peers around the globe. She has performed at some of the most prestigious listening venues, theaters and concert halls throughout the US, UK and Spain and at a growing number of mainstream festivals. She will start off the night. Special guest Ciara Grace grew up surrounded by music. She spent much of her formative years in a studio with some of the top most session players as mentors. It's no wonder that by the young age of 15, she was already churning out songs to make even the most seasoned songwriters envious. Ciara will be recording her debut CD this summer, produced by her father, Grammy Award winner, Glenn Barratt.
