Please join the Public Health Department at St. Kate's for a discussion with Sandy White Hawk, Sicangu Lakota (Author, ICWA Consultant, Elder in Residence at Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition) and Kendra Mylnechuk Potter, Lummi (birth and death doula, theatre and film artist, and director of The Aunties) about the role of art, storytelling, and healing in social justice movements. Public Health at St. Kate's is all about engaging health equity and social justice to create improved health and wellbeing for all people, especially those who have been most impacted by health inequities. We will hear from our guests about the motivation for this project and these stories as well as give our current St. Kate's MPH students in the Health Communications course and the broader audience an opportunity to ask our guests questions at the intersection of art, storytelling, and healing.
