The California State Railroad Museum and Foundation are pleased to welcome guests aboard the historic Sacramento Southern Railroad. Enjoy a 50-minute historic scenic train ride along the Sacramento River and experience railroading as it was in the early part of the last century.
Location
Tickets must be picked up from the Central Pacific Passenger Station at the corner of Front and J Streets in Old Sacramento. The ticket office opens 45 minutes before the first departure. Please bring photo id and your membership card if you purchased member tickets. Tickets must be picked up 15 minutes before scheduled departure. Trains leave promptly at scheduled departure times.
Accessibility
Due to the historic nature of the coaches, all passengers must be able to climb a narrow set of stairs to board the coaches. Due to limited aisle widths, wheelchairs, mobility devices, and strollers are not permitted on the coaches. Temporary storage for devices is provided at the passenger station. Covid-19 Precautions
All passengers over the age of 2 must wear a face covering at all times while aboard the excursion train, when in the passenger station, in the station store, or while waiting in line. Should anyone in your party have had contact in the last 14 days with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19, or if any member of your party is sick, please do not participate in the excursion.
Members & Complimentary Ticket Holders
Please note that you must pick up tickets 20 minutes prior to departure. All member and complimentary tickets not picked up 20 minutes in advance of departure time are subject to forfeiture and resale.
