Love, Dean
“This album is a love letter from us to anyone who listens. We're hoping the listener feels let into our lives; that they can see value in music; value in people; and that they feel inspired to grow in their own lives and relationships. We leave space for grief, hardship and honesty but our target is encouragement and positivity in the midst of struggles,” Rachael says.
Love, DEAN is the result of an arduous 6-year journey of sleepless nights, delayed studio dates, re-recording sessions, and pilgrimages around the country. Each hardship and road block brought the duo closer to its dream destination. Love, DEAN was tracked in studios in Portland, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. The 11-song album was co-produced by Luke Price and Dave Kitay, features an intriguing lineup of all-star musicians including Sebastian Steinberg on bass (John Legend, Blake Mills, Fiona Apple, Sean and Sara Watkins), Brian MacLeod on drums (Sheryl Crow), Daniel Clarke (Natalie Prass, KD Lang) on keys, Margaret Glaspy on backing vocals, and Vishal Nayak on drums (Nick Hakim, Empress Of).
