with Olivia Warwick
Oakland-based soul singer and composer Lilan Kane (LEE - lawn) is authentic, on and off stage. The honesty in her voice is as raw as her lyrical stories of love, life and self-discovery. Born and raised in the Bay Area, the Berklee College of Music graduate has held numerous residencies and sold-out shows, as well as several high-profile festival performances (Fillmore Jazz Festival, New Orleans French Quarter Festival, etc.) Drawing on a diverse catalogue of influences, Lilan has forged an endearing fusion of R&B, Jazz, and Pop over the course of her ten-year professional performing career. With two EPs (Wonder 2015 and Shadows 2020), and one full-length album (Love, Myself 2016), she recently released a self-produced single “TKMO” (Time Keeps Moving On), garnering international praise for its musicality and ethereal vibe. A Marin County native, Lilan served as the vocal director at San Domenico School for 8 years and interim director of teen a Cappella group Til Dawn. Lilan has sung with Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra, and opened for Hall & Oates, Lenny Williams, Freddie Hughes, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Sharon Jones, Trombone Shorty, and Morgan James. For this show, she will feature up and coming teen vocalist Olivia Warwick as her supporting act.
"Lilan Kane creates a seamless blend of R&B, funk, pop, a bit of jazz and a whole lot of soul." - Marin Independent Journal
