A spicy blend of rock & blues, Dead Fox No Groove is the product of two eccentric gingers with a burning love for music. Based out of Wilmington, NC, Chapman Lee Richards & Blake Mitchell White joined together in January of 2022 and never looked back. Starting as an acoustic duo, Dead Fox No Groove jumped head first into the Wilmington scene with an extensive set list consisting of originals and covers. Since July of 2022, the acoustic sound that Wilmington had grown to expect evolved into something more energetic. Dead Fox went electric, pouring gasoline onto the glowing ember of their sound. With the fluidity of the band’s dynamics, their acoustic roots, Chapman’s loud, gritty vocal style, and Blake’s bombastic, unhesitating signature on the drums, there is seemingly no energy they cannot match.

Our cause is intergalactic, traveling across the stars themselves aboard the sacred Mothership to bring you our purest funk concoctions - equal parts primal psychedelia, buttery beautiful soul, and grievously groovin’ riffs that'll make ya mama wanna get up and dance the night away.

When people hear the phrase “singer-songwriter” they usually feel the sudden urge to take a nap. Dylan Innes seeks to change that notion. He believes music should be honest, original, bring feeling to the listener and last but not least, be catchy as hell.
