Please note the following guidelines while securing your timed-entry passes:
Passes for Individuals and Groups:
• All Smithsonian visitors, regardless of age, must have a free, timed-entry pass to enter.
• Companions, a personal care attendant accompanying a visitor, will also need a free timed-entry pass.
• Visitors will be able to secure a maximum of up to six passes for personal use only.
• Groups larger than six are strictly prohibited.
• Passes may not be sold or transferred.
• Passes are valid only for the issued date and time and void if altered.
Chaperone Guidelines:
• All children (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
• At least one adult chaperone is required to accompany up to five children.
Museum Entry:
Printed timed-entry passes and digital passes will be scanned at the Jefferson Drive entrance at 12th Street SW on the National Mall.
Accessibility Information:
• Accessible Entrance: Located at Independence Avenue at 12th Street SW.
• Aira: The Smithsonian Washington, D.C.-metropolitan area museums and the National Zoo are AIRA
access sites. Visitors who are blind or have low-vision can download the AIRA app free of charge onto a smart device. The AIRA app uses the smart device camera to take in the user’s surroundings, and a live AIRA agent will describe the environment, including reading of exhibit labels and instructions.
