Bones Conway Group:
https://www.facebook.com/BonesConwayGroup/
Bones Conway Group (BCG) is an instrumental quartet based out of Washington DC that plays songs originally written and released in the 1990's. BCG is not to be confused with your average 90's cover band. The group re-imagines songs from the era by using elements of jazz, funk, and fusion to produce stunning, genre-bending and completely instrumental versions of once familiar songs.
The Shrapnels:
https://www.facebook.com/theShrapnels
The SHRAPNELS are a jazz funk quintet that performs music adapted to reflect the rich heritage of improvisational jazz. The group uses originals, classic rock, funk, modern rock, pop, hip-hop, traditional music and jazz standards from the Real Book as launching points for individual and group improvisation.
Austin Loman Group:
https://www.facebook.com/austinlomanmusic/
For years, Austin Loman, has molded his guitar playing to fit into different musical contexts in the jazz and rock spheres. When it came time to embark on his own musical venture, he assembled a quartet with some of the area's finest, resulting in a unit that can go wherever Austin's compositional arc wants to go, from delicate textural passages, to melodic improvised sections, to full-on fusion fireworks. Austin Loman Group's take on progressive instrumental music has found them a niche in the music scene.
