One of the greatest artists of our generation, Turkish pianist and composer Fazıl Say, performs with a rising star, Turkish cellist Jamal Aliyev, in a limited U.S. tour that will dazzle you with artistry in a night to remember.
Say’s extraordinary talents as a pianist have been astounding audiences and critics for more than 25 years, and cellist Aliyev has been hailed as one of “the most brilliant young classical musicians playing today.” This performance is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to catch two incredible artists, one whose artistry is well known and one whose fame is skyrocketing with each concert season.
The program will include Dmitri Shostakovich’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in D Minor, Op. 40 and Say’s “Dört Şehir” (“Four Cities”) Sonata for Cello and Piano, Op. 41.
