Message In Our Music: Black Music as a Soundtrack to Inspire or Incite
This June we celebrate Black Music Month and the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop with an insightful and entertaining event. Join us for “Message in the Music” Friday June 16th from 8pm until 11pm at World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street. This event features a panel discussion on Hip Hop as a soundtrack to inspire or incite, a live music trivia game show (with prizes) , a cypher and an open mic. Our featured panelists include Dr. Aaron Smith, Tame, Queen Jo, Dyana Williams, and Ursula Rucker. If you love music, have opinions about the state of hip hop, want to test your musical knowledge and/or want to show off your talent, then join us on friday june 16th from 8pm to 11pm at World Cafe Live.
