Enjoy a tasting and a fascinating discussion of Sweet Home Cafe Cookbook, the best-selling collection of recipes served daily at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Moderated by NMAAHC Deputy Director Kinshasha Holman Conwill, panelists Lonnie G. Bunch, NMAAHC Founding Director, Jacquelyn Serwer, NMAAHC Chief Curator, and Jessica B. Harris, renowned author and culinary historian will discuss African American, and diasporic food traditions and cuisine. The evening also includes a short cooking demonstration by Sweet Home Cafe Executive Chef Jerome Grant, and Albert Lukas Supervisory Chef, Restaurant Associates. Books will be available for sale and signing courtesy of Smithsonian Enterprises.
