“Nothing puts the 'merry' in Christmas like Michelle Malone and The Hot Toddies”
— Scott Freeman, Arts Atlanta
The Hot Toddies are world renowned musicians who just happened to meet in an Amtrak train station bar in Kalamazoo, MI on a snowy Christmas Eve. While stranded in a blizzard at the train station with no chance of getting home for the holidays, these fun-loving party favors decided to get out their instruments and provide the other stranded travelers with some real crazy holiday merriment that went into the wee hours of the morning when Santa finally arrived - and the rest is Hot Toddy history!
The Hot Toddies are the perfect swinging and crooning Christmas group for your holiday merriment. Their renditions of holiday
classics range from toe tappers that swing to sweet ballads that pull on your heart strings - it’s fun for the whole family, though you may choose to leave the little ones at home in their beds with those sugar plums while you have a swimmingly good Hot Toddy time.
“Michelle Malone and The Hot Toddies reinterpret classic Christmas songs creating new jazz and blues arrangements all their own that display Malone’s vocal prowess and innate ability to let her music take you to another time and place. ”
— Tony Paris, Creative Loafing
The Hot Toddies are vocalist Michelle Malone (Indigo Girls, Kristian Bush), guitarist Doug Kees (Peter Searcy, Johnny Hyde Quartet). When performing as a trio, they are joined by an upright bassist and occasionally as a quartet with drummer Chris Burroughs (Lizz Wright, Chris Duarte) rounds out the quartet.
