The Combat Mindset Workshop encompasses the Mental, Physical, Technical, Tactical, and Medical aspects of preparation for dealing with violent encounters. Case studies and videos will be used to highlight past encounters so as to better prepare a student for the varied high-risk situations that they can face and win. Some graphic videos will be shown as case histories.
Topics:
1. Mental-Where it all begins. Establishing a priority and reason for family and self-preservation
2. Physical-Without the physical, we cannot train efficiently or for any duration of time
3. Technical-The efficient employment of firearms, edged weapons or hands should the need arise
4. Tactical-Avoidance or implementation of sound tactical drills to win on the street
5. Medical-You are your best and fastest first responder to your situation
About the Instructor: Paul R. Howe is a Military and Tactical Law Enforcement SME- 20 year Army veteran and former Special Operations Team Leader and Instructor with combat experience in multiple venues.
Paul built and leads Combat Shooting and Tactics (CSAT) www.combatshootingandtactics.com. CSAT began as a Tactical Law Enforcement Training organization teaching Advance Hostage Rescue and has evolved into Government Security Training, Civilian tactical training and Leadership Training for over 19 years in the civilian sector.
Paul began work in law enforcement when he was 18 and then entered military service to establish a solid, hands on career in public and national service when he was 21. Paul has trained top tier organizations and agencies throughout the operational spectrum for over 25 years in all aspects of high-risk training. He has authored numerous tactical articles and delivered numerous seminars on leadership and training, working with local, state and federal levels of the government.
Paul is author of the book "Leadership and Training for the Fight." Paul holds a bachelor's degree from Liberty University and a Master's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University (Communications, Political Science and History) where he received the 1999 "Teaching Excellence Award" for the schools Applied Arts and Science Department while assigned to the ROTC program there.
