Así Así is a Mexican/American band from Chicago, IL. The band consists of Fernando de Buen (vocals, guitars), Ben Geissel (drums), Celeen Rusk (vocals, keys), and Sam Coplin (bass). Así Así started in 2018 as a continuation of a previous project, called “El Mañana”. They have played in multiple venues across Chicago, and are part of the city’s indie and Latin rock scenes. In 2020 they released their first single, “Carne Molida”, receiving coverage in Remezcla, Filter Mexico, Indie Rocks, and radio play in Mexico City’s 105.7fm Reactor radio station.

Así Así blends rock, dance, and Latin themes together to form oftentimes haunting, yet upbeat and catchy songs. This sound is achieved through their use of acoustic and electronic drums, and synthesizers ranging from soft and bouncy tones to intense, driving, pulsing patterns. De Buen’s guitars form exciting layers on top, while the bass lines provide hidden grooves and gems underneath.

The Roof Dogs
The Roof Dogs are a rock and roll outfit from Chicago, Illinois. A traditional four-piece in composition, the band consists of Andrew Marczak on guitar and synthesizers, Sean Maher on bass guitar, Jack Brereton on the drums, and Jesse Cheshire on guitar. Andrew and Jesse split vocal duties. Musically the band draws from a variety of influences in the great canon of modern western music. Informed as much by The Byrds as by James Chance, the band’s approach to each composition is often dissonant. While an intentional proclivity towards mucking things up is a cornerstone of the group's sound, it is never to mask sloppy songwriting. Lyrics and melody are as much a priority as the introduction of chaos. Following a string of homegrown releases in the late 2010s, the band delivered its latest in 2020 via Broom Closet Records of Los Angeles, California. Summer in Algeria b/w Devotion finds the band in its most primal and disorderly iteration. Essentially the logical conclusion of prior works, the singles are a brilliant showcase of the band’s lyrical prowess, rabble-rousing rock and roll energy, and signature approach to composition. Having mastered its earlier sound, the group has spent 2021 and 2022 preparing their debut LP, which aims in new directions…
